This is the Smith Family! They are long, long time family friends. They asked me to do a family photo session back in 2006 when I was first getting my business started. So this time it was so much fun to see how all of the Grandkids have grown up!

D (the patriarch) has them do this funny shot everytime where they all have to hold a piece of paper with their name and their age on it. They all think it is so goofy, so I thought it would be funny to do a "mug shot" look!

Luke & Kendall's Wedding!

Remember the awesome engagement shoot I got to do in Louisville a couple of months ago? Well, this is the follow up!!! Kendall and Luke finally tied the knot on December 12th. We started the morning at the bride's house for the getting ready shots. Isn't her dress amazing??This is Kendall's sister and my friend Allison (who you might remember from the blog this summer during her maternity session). And meet Stone, her sweet 3 month old little boy. I love capturing precious moments like this one!

Steve, Kendall's Dad, had a time of prayer with the family before we all left for the church!

Kendall's Dad handcrafted this beautiful wooden prayer bench for them that was used in the ceremony. He did this for all 3 of his girls' weddings.

Kendall's parents, Ann and Steve, were married in this very same sanctuary at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Monica and I have known each other since high school. We actually sang together in show choir. We had lost touch over the years and then I received an e-mail from her last year about her wanting to book us to shoot her wedding, it was a wonderful surprise! I just love this shot below of her Mom putting her veil in. Monica has such a warm smile that just lights up the room. They got married at Castleton Church of the Nazarene.

Sarah's Maternity (part 2)

I say "part 2" because this is baby #2 and we did Sarah's first pregnancy about 2 years ago. This is a very close friend of mine. We've known each other since grade school. She is an incredibly talented musician, check out her work! So it's always a blessing to me to have the opportunity to capture these special moments of my friends' lives. Doesn't she look beautiful?

I don't usually post a lot of personal things but I just had to share these photos with you all. This fall Patrick's sister, Kate and her son Hendrix, came here to Indy for a visit. This is my first and only nephew at this point and I had so much fun doing some pictures of him.

I met Cate through Patrick because they also work together. The thing I love most about Cate and Marc is that they have so much FUN together. They were caught up in each other throughout the whole shoot, just having fun and loving on each other. We were downtown at the canal for their shoot as well!

Richelle & Matt's Wedding

October 17th was the big day! Richelle and Matt got married at Robert's Park United Methodist Church with a reception following at Crowne Plaza downtown. It was a gorgeous but very chilly day. Nevertheless, we got to do a lot of pictures outside which turned out beautifully.

Patrick got the shot above during their private moment before the ceremony. They met in a smaller chapel there at the church filled with this gorgeous stained glass.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Richelle made an absolutely stunning bride!

After the ceremony, we headed down to the mall area next to the War Memorial downtown for some wedding party and bride/groom shots.

We wanted to say a special thanks to our good friends and past clients, David and Jennifer Hall, for referring us to Richelle and Matt.

These are our neighbors, the Pierce's. About a year ago they moved away because of a job transfer and we were so sad to see them leave. Well, this summer they got to move back home into their same house on our street and we just couldn't be more excited! They have welcomed a new addition to their family as well, Zowie!

Natalie is one year old! Time has flown by because Natalie is another one of my Womb to Wobble clients. It's always fun to come to the completion of a project in the making. Now, Natalie's parents will get to start making their selections for an album of the whole process (maternity shots, natalie's infant shoot and now her 1st year shoot). We met up at the canal downtown and it was a beautiful day!TOUCHDOWN!

Aaron had a great idea to do some shots in and around the Indiana State Museum because that's where him and Lauren were married! They both hadn't returned since their wedding day so it was a neat "new" memory made now with Natalie.

Luke & Kendall's engagement shoot!

I had a blast with Luke and Kendall at their e-pic shoot. Patrick and I took the whole day (and all 3 of our kids) and headed down to Louisville, KY to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Kendall is a student at Boyce College and Luke is a seminary student. They met at the Founders Cafe there at the seminary. I have known Kendall for many years now and it's been a joy watching her grow and mature into a beautiful young woman. And after meeting Luke I know that God is going to use them in a powerful way in His ministry. It was so neat for Patrick and I to be back at the seminary because this was the place where we settled right after our wedding 8 years ago. Patrick was a student at the seminary and I worked there. We loved living there and in the beautiful city of Louisville. So being there brought back so many memories for me of an exciting time of my life as a new bride and wife. It brought an excitement back after watching Kendall and Luke and knowing that they too are getting ready to begin that journey that Patrick and I did several years ago. And it also made me feel old being there now with 3 kids! There are so many awesome shots I got that day but can only highlight the day on the blog for you, so here they are...

After getting this shot (above) through the window on this door, Kendall's mother Ann thought it would be neat to write scripture across the front of the door. So I picked my life verse as I thought it was appropriate for them at this time in their lives as well!

HELLO COVER MODELS!

We were actually a little nervous as the forecast was calling for rain, so Kendall had this cute umbrella for some fun shots. But the rain held off for us!!!

We found this structure on the way downtown and we just had to stop to get some pictures by it. It was a free standing structure of the front of an old building, how awesome, huh?

We are so excited for you guys and can't wait for your wedding in December!!!

Jonathan & Suzanne's Wedding!

It was such an honor for me to be able to shoot this wedding. I have known the bride since she was an infant. Her sister, Sarah, and I have been the closest of friends since we were in grade school. We all grew up in the same church together and share many, many memories. Suzanne and Jonathan got married on September 12th at Northside Baptist Church here in Indy.Here's Sarah with her daughter Soren and baby #2 on the way! Soren wore Madison's (my daughter) dress as she was the flower girl in the wedding.

I thought this was the coolest idea for pew decor. They framed their engagement pictures and hung them with ribbon on the ends of the pews.

Suzanne's family owns Joseph's rug store here in Indy so they incorporated one of the rugs in their ceremony here.

And they closed the night with a family mini concert. Suzanne and Stephen both sing/play for Sarah's band. And Jonathan is a drummer so he fits right into the family!

Zachary and Joe!

Welcome little Zachary into the world! I had the privilege of meeting him and his big brother Joe a couple of weeks ago. They are both precious little boys. My favorite shot of the day (below). This is the one we used for his birth announcements!

I had to put this shot in here of Joe taking a picture of me taking a picture of him. He kept calling me the "camera lady". The next morning after the shoot his Mom, Kelly, e-mailed me to say that Joe woke up that morning and asked where the "camera lady" was. Hilarious!

Zack and Allison's Maternity Shoot!

Zack and Allison are expecting their first baby and it's a boy! It was such an honor to get to do their maternity shoot. Allison and I have known each other for many years now. We danced together on the dance team in high school, went to church youth group together and were sorority sisters in college. And Zack and Patrick (my husband) were actually fraternity brothers too. There's something about Thetas and Zetas I guess...

Isn't she gorgeous? She's going to be an awesome mother!

They've decided to name their son, Stone! What a cool name, huh? The following pictures were taken because a friend of Allison's had given her a gift at one of her baby showers. The gift was a pail of "stones" with scriptures written on them for Stone's nursery. I LOVED that idea, so we had to do some pictures with them, especially the one below with his name on it!

Congratulations you guys. We can't wait to meet baby Stone in a couple weeks!

Nick & Jessica's Wedding!

Aaron & Cassandra's Wedding!

Aaron and Cassandra's wedding was our first out of state wedding. They got married on 8-15 in Holland, Michigan. They currently reside in NYC but got married at Aaron's parents house. It was a gorgeous outdoor garden wedding with a big white tent reception all right there on their property, it was perfect! Cassandra put so much creativity and planning into this day and you could totally tell by her precise attention to detail. This will be a long blog post but I know you will love re-living their day through these photos.

This purse belonged to Cassandra's Grandmother and Cassandra carried it on her wedding day!

This is Aaron's sister Sarah and her newborn baby Carter. Him and I share the same birthday, July 13th. How cool is that? I kept my eye on him most of the day, it was making me miss my baby (Mason) at home.

Then Patrick grabbed this shot right before Cassandra headed outside for her Dad to walk her down the aisle!

This was something I hadn't seen before but very neat...they used two bottles of their favorite wines to pour together into one glass representing their unity.

This shot was special because Aaron's Grandmother has handmade a quilt for each of her Grandchildren on their wedding day, so it was FINALLY Aaron's turn for his!

After the ceremony, we headed over to Lake Macatawa's Beach for an awesome photo opp!

And finally, the reception. I loved all of the orange and green!

We wanted to say a special thank you to Alison and Brian Fisher (one of our past weddings) for the referral of Aaron and Cassandra. Brian and Aaron were each others "Best Men". It was great seeing you guys again!

I cannot wait to tell you about how awesome our kids Birthday cakes were this year! Patrick's friend from work made these cakes for Jackson and Madison's birthdays this summer. You have to check out JamaBakes for your next cake! Jackson's was a Mario Kart cake and Madison wanted a Minnie Mouse themed cake. Jama did a superb job and they tasted just as amazing as they looked.

They used to teach my Sunday School class when I was growing up, then I went off to college, got married, started a family and then our paths crossed again! Pam sells Premier Designs High Fashion Jewelry (so she can be a stay at home Mom!) Premier is a service centered company based on biblical principles. This first shot of them was a headshot that she needed for her Premier business.They have 5 awesome and active boys! Pam came to me with a great idea of doing a baseball shoot because they all play and love the sport. They are full time baseball fans between all of the various games they go to!!!

Meet the Piechocki family! You may recognize one of the daughters, Danielle, from her senior portrait session last year. We had a beautiful day to work with for this shoot. We did the session at the Greenwood Children's Garden (one of my favorite places to shoot on the southside).You can tell how much fun they have together!

Yes, we actually had a train going by during our shoot so I had them run over and stand in front of it. How awesome how this shot turned out that I happened to snap at the same time this graffiti was rigtht over their heads!

Every year on the kids birthdays I have taken a picture of them in an article of clothing that's Patrick and I's. So for the boys, it will be Daddy's suit coat. Josh & Ryane's Wedding Shoot!

I had the great opportunity a couple of weeks ago to do wedding portraits for Josh and Ryane. I say "wedding portraits" because they actually aren't married yet. They plan to get married in Hawaii next month in a very small, intimate ceremony but wanted wedding photos taken. So I met up with them at the beautiful Avon Gardens.

Stunning! They are the sweetest couple and so much in love!

You guys were so awesome to hang out with, I wish you the very best wedding ceremony in a very beautiful place. I hope I get to see pictures of the actual ceremony! Congratulations!

We started the day off at the salon with the girls. When everyone was ready we jumped in the car and headed to the Bride's house for the girls to get dressed. On the way there, Daniel text messaged Emma with this sweet message: "Oh my gosh this is so real". It had actually hit him that they were getting married TODAY!Gorgeous Dress!

Emma arrived at River Glen Country Club in a Rolls Royce and Daniel greeted her and helped her out of the car. This was their "private moment" seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day!

They did a special foot washing ceremony symbolizing servanthood. This was special to me personally because this is how Patrick proposed to me, he washed my feet and said that he wanted to spend his life serving me!

Jacob's father passed away several years ago, so his family had a special candle lit in his Dad's honor.

Ray and Evelyn are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. I know them from my home church here in Indy. Back when they got married, they just had a friend take their wedding pictures and they didn't really turn out. So, when she called me she said that she's always wanted professional pictures done of them. So, we did an "Anniversary Shoot". We went up to Coxhall Gardens in Carmel and boy was it windy. So we ended up finishing the shoot at their house.

We had to get a shot of their new rings they just got for each other!

And here's a fun shot of their original wedding photo that was really dark but how neat to see them then and now in the same photo! Happy Anniversary you guys!

I'm an Aunt!

I'm finally an Aunt. This is my nephew, Hendrix Croy Bosch. He was born March 18th to Kate & Ethan (Patrick's sister). You may remember their maternity shoot posted back in November. I still have not yet met him in person. He lives in Florida. I'm so looking forward to meeting him in person and taking some pictures of him in June at our family reunion. We love you Hendrix!!!!

Olivia was in our youth group when Patrick was a youth pastor. She is a very intelligent, caring and beautiful girl. She loves horses and is going to be working on a horse farm all summer before heading off to college to study to be a veterinarian!

Baby Owen!

Owen finally arrived. I did maternity shots with his parents back in February. He was such a sweet baby and so tiny!

Owen was a little fussy during the shoot so Brian put James Taylor's "Sweet Baby James" on repeat on the ipod and it totally calmed baby Owen down, it was amazing. They had the song on vinyl too, so I thought it would be cool to get a picture to capture a neat memory of how soothing it was for Owen.

Blast from the past....pound puppies, this was actually Jennifer's from when she was a child.

For my Dad's Birthday this year, my Mom had the great idea of doing a photo shoot. My Dad's Birthday was March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) so Mom got all of us shirts to celebrate!

I had the privilege of meeting the Hartman family this week. They have a gorgeous new home and new baby boy! Baby Evan was one of the easiest baby's to shoot. He was so content, happy and photogenic to say the least. Look at those beautiful blue eyes!

Jacob & Holly's Engagement Session

This past weekend, Patrick and I had the chance to getaway to stay in a friends cabin in Brown County, IN. It was so good to just hang out with old friends, laugh and relax! While we were down there we took the opportunity to do my close friend Holly and her fiance Jacobs' engagement photos. I love the way they turned out because of the location and the chemistry they have between them. We are so excited for them as they enter into marriage. We get to shoot their wedding in April so check back for more photos then!!! Above, my close friend Erin is assisting me by not letting me fall off the bench being 8 months pregnant! Oh the things we do for the right shot!!!

Kate & Ethan's Maternity Shoot!

I am so excited about this post of pictures. Mainly because it's my sister-in-law and brother-in-law's maternity session of my new and first nephew! He's due in March. Kate & Ethan were here for Thanksgiving and we were in Batesville with my in-laws this year, so we did the shoot in a little town called Oldenburg. Patrick assisted me on this shoot and once again he amazed me at how quick he's learning and at some of the shot that he got!

Kate's smile is so contagious!

Kate saw this school bus that said Immaculate Conception (a school in Oldenburg), so we decided to do a few fun shots!!!!

Then we came back to my in-laws house and set up a little studio and did these shots!

This is Dianne and her sweet grandbabies. She is an very talented interior designer as you can tell in these pictures. We did the shoot at her home. She really wanted to capture her daughters and grandkids together just having fun and loving on each other.

This is her daugher Emily and her two kiddos. Emily and her husband are the owners of Ciao Bella Salon here in Indy!

Anna Cakes was voted "Best Cakes" in Orlando, FL by WESH 2 A-List (the equivalent to our Indy Channel.com's A-list) I had the opportunity to taste one of her cakes while I was there doing the shoot and man was it amazing. If you're ever in Orlando, you need to look Anna up!!

Mindy is a consultant for Uppercase Living. I have had a couple of parties and earned free product for our house and I just love their sayings. Well, Mindy had one custom made for their house that says: "For these children I prayed" and it's at the bottom of a huge collage of pictures of her kids. It is so neat! So I thought I would duplicate her saying but on a photo of her kids!

Reagan is like my little sister. She was actually one of my little flower girls in my wedding and carried my unity candle down the aisle. I thought about putting up a photo of her from my wedding but thought I better save her the embarrasement. She has grown up to be such a beautiful girl! I was recently asked by a good friend to do Christmas card photos of their new puppy, Sophie! When I arrived at their house, Sophie greeted me as hyper as can be and I was a little nervous about trying to get a good "posed" shot of her. But then we got the basket out and put the red bow in her hair and layed her in the basket. Then it's like she knew she had to be the little model for a few minutes and just sat there and looked at me, it was hilarious! This first one is my absolute favorite because she looks like a stuffed animal!
